Why is the digital file of a Ph.D. Thesis not available even though its metadata are displayed in the Repository?

This is because access to the metadata of a Ph.D. Thesis is not subject to restrictive conditions despite the fact that the applicant may set a time limit for the publication of the complete digital file of his thesis.

The release date of the digital file is the date on which it can be made available according to the license specified by the Ph.D. holder and is integrated into his text and is an integral part of it.

The above restriction (embargo) exclusively concerns online access to the digital file hosted in the Repository and does not include a) the thesis metadata and b) physical on-site viewing (reading) via EKT terminals, while applying all the safeguards through appropriate technical and organisational means and the use of the Ph.D. Thesis with the licence designated by the Ph.D. holder.
